partnering
A strategic alliance between two or more companies to promote and facilitate the operation of their respective businesses. It can take the form of either "strategic partnering" (which relies on an incentive of developing an ongoing relationship to the benefit of both parties) or "project partnering" (which is limited to one-off schemes).
