delegated budget
England, Wales
The budget delegated from the local authority (LA, See Local Education Authority (LEA)) to the governing body of a school under section 49 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998. The delegated budget for each school is distributed from the Individual Schools Budget, this is the amount remaining from the schools budget provided by the Department for Children, Schools and Families to LAs after the LA has retained the amount required to provide certain central educational support services.
