England, WalesA way of securing a judgment debt by imposing a charge over the beneficial interest in land, securities or certain other assets of a judgment debtor (person against whom there is a money judgment). To realise funds to satisfy the judgment debt, the judgment creditor must go on to also obtain an order for sale.
