cloud computing
Broad access to and use of shared computer software applications and data storage capacity through the internet (for which "the cloud" is a metaphor). As compared to other modes of computing, such as use of conventional PCs and networks, cloud computing provides users with scalable access to software and data resources from any location with internet access, and relieves them of installation and maintenance chores.
